AnchorGrid API

Construction documents. Structured for your software.

AnchorGrid extracts structured information from architectural drawings and construction specifications, so your applications and the AI workflows your developers configure can work with it as data.

Who it's for

For teams building software on construction documents.

Send a PDF, choose an analysis, and get JSON back. What you build with it is up to your product and your team.

  • Construction software teams

Add drawing and specification data to estimating, takeoff, project management or review products.

  • In-house technology teams

Build internal tools that work across your firm's drawing sets and project manuals.

  • Teams building AI agents

Give an agent a tool that calls the REST API and returns structured results it can reason over.

How it fits your software

Upload, analyze, retrieve.

Three calls from your application. Authentication and parameters are covered in the docs.

  1. 01Upload a document

Send a drawing set or specification PDF. You get back a document ID that every analysis uses.

    POST /v1/documents
  2. 02Start an analysis

Choose an analysis such as door detection or schedule extraction. The API accepts the job and returns a job ID.

    POST /v1/drawings/…
  3. 03Retrieve the results

Check the job until it's complete and read the structured results, or, on eligible plans, have them sent to a webhook.

    GET /v1/jobs/{job_id}
Output

Results your code can use directly.

Each analysis returns JSON with a consistent shape: what was found, where it is in the document, and how confident the model is where that applies.

Evaluate, then integrate

Try it by hand. Run it in software.

The Playground and the API use the same analyses. They serve different stages of your work.

Playground · manual evaluation

See how AnchorGrid reads your documents.

  • Upload a drawing or specification, choose an analysis and inspect the results.
  • No code or API key needed.
  • Best for checking results on your own documents before you build.
Try the Playground
API · production integrations

Let your software do the work.

  • Your application or AI agent sends each document and collects results automatically.
  • No one uploads files or clicks through the Playground for each request.
  • Requires an API key.
